Eligibility

You must be a University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign student. Only teams of 2-4 people are allowed.

Submission Rights & Display

WECE has the right to advertise your hackathon project on our website, but only with the team's permission as well as making sure to properly credit the project to the makers. WECE also has the right to display the winners' names on our website, with their permission. We do not have the permission to repurpose or use the code submitted.

Prizes & Winner Selection

There will be four prizes: a first and second place prize given to both divisions: Beginner and Intermediate. The winners will be determined by a panel of judges. Submissions will be judged on how well it fits the theme, the impact of the application, the user experience and interface, as well as how well the submission video explains the application. If a team violates any of our eligibility rules or code of conduct on our Discord, the team will be disqualified. Our judging team also reserves the right to judge a submission under a different division if we believe the division was chosen incorrectly. If we are to do so, the team will be contacted first.
